BREBNER PRIMARY SCHOOL FEES 2011

1. THE SCHOOL FEES ARE:

1.1 The school fees are R350 per student per month for 10 months i.e. R3 500-00 per year. If the contribution is paid before the end of the first term, then R3 300-00 per year. Should the pupil for any reason leave the school during the course of the year discount will not be reimbursed and the outstanding amount will be calculated at R350 per month. This will then be multiplied by the number of months the pupil attended school and subtracted from the amount paid. One months-paid notice will be mandatory.

1.2 If there is more than one student in the direct (biological) family at Brebner Primary School, the contribution is R3 400-00 per year or R340 per month for each child.
If contribution is paid before the end of the first term, then R3 200-00 per year for each child.

2. HOSTEL FEES ARE:

2.1 R3600-00 per child per term (R14 400-00 per year) payable on arrival.

NB (A) No discount can be offered for more than one family member.
(B) Two compulsory out-weekends per term included in costs.

3. ALL fees are payable in ADVANCE.

Parents must note that this school is in the lowest subsidy bracket of the Department. Parents not living in the school’s feeder area and who have financial constraints are advised to enquire about fees at their local school.

DECLARATION: (Please study carefully)
I, the undersigned, as parent/guardian of the above pupil undertake to abide by the following conditions:
a) My child shall attend school regularly. (In the case of absence owing to illness or other legitimate reasons, a letter must be received by the class teacher at the first possible opportunity, giving an explanation for the absence.
In case of illness of more than one day, a doctor’s certificate should accompany the letter.
b) My child shall arrive at school for classes or other activities regularly and punctually.
School hours 7:45 to 13:35.
c) My child shall be properly and neatly dressed in accordance with the official Brebner uniform list.
d) I shall pay all fees, as determined by the Brebner Management Council, regularly and in advance (within the first week of each school term.)
e) I am aware of the spirit of the Brebner school policy and code, and I shall assist and encourage my child to honour them.
f) My child shall do his homework and other assignments regularly and properly.
g) I shall give my child my full support and encouragement in all his school activities.
h) I shall be active, interested and involved in the parental and other activities of the school.
i) I shall replace or make good any property of the school, which is lost, destroyed or damaged by my child.
j) I hereby indemnify the School’s Governing Body and School Management for any expenses/losses/injuries incurred by me or my child/ward while being at Brebner Primary School.
k) I understand that a boarder whose boarding fees have not been fully paid by the end of a term, will not be admitted to the hostel for the following term.
l) I hereby grant full authority to the Principal/Warden to act on my behalf in cases of emergency.
m) I hereby give permission to the school and/or staff should my son/daughter be transported by the school/staff.
n) I undertake to notify the Principal/Warden of any change of address without delay.
o) I understand that the medium of instruction in this school is English and I accept that our child/children/ward will be instructed in English.
p) Should we as parents have grievances we will approach Brebner Management to rectify possible queries.
